DFK International is a worldwide association of independent accounting firms.
The present organization was formed in July 1962 when three accountants, François-Maurice Richard of Paris, France, Ronald Warlow of London, England, and John Douglass of Sydney, Australia, came together to form an international accounting group.
The group continued as an unincorporated organization for a considerable period but, as it expanded and grew into a major international organization, it was deemed necessary to further formalize the relationship. Incorporation took place in 1982.
Ronald Warlow was Secretary-General from the very beginning until his retirement in 1983, at which time he became Secretary-General Emeritus. François-Maurice Richard was President of the group from its formation until 1982.
Current independent members of DFK International are very appreciative of the foresight and efforts of the three founders for establishing and promoting an organization that has grown steadily over the years.
