Graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in 1981, received his Diploma in Accountancy in 1984 and obtained his CA designation in 1985. In 1996, he received the CPA designation from the University of Illinois. Ather Kandella joined Levy Pilotte in 1993 after spending eight years practicing mainly taxation with two major national accounting firms in Toronto and Montreal. In January 2001, he became Levy Pilotte's tax partner. His focus has been primarily in the area of taxation, mainly corporate reorganization, individual and estate tax planning, international and cross-border transactions, and goods and services tax.
